Social media has skyrocketed over the years with millions of people using the platforms every day. This provides entrepreneurs the perfect platform to promote their businesses, products, and services.

Do you have a business and want to promote it on social media? This blog provides tips and tricks on how you should promote your business on various platforms.

Instagram

For college students Instagram is arguably one of the most popular and used social media apps. With so many students using this platform, this leaves so much room for growth for you and your business.

In terms of content types, Instagram is all encompassing. You can post graphics, photos, videos, and stories geared towards your venture.

For example, in your story you can post reminders of any pop-ups or markets that you will be a vendor at. You can also post this on your feed, allowing more opportunities for people to see this event and come out and support!

If you already use Instagram and want to level up your profile, make a marketing strategy. Having consistency and a decisive brand will allow your business to stand out and be recognizable to others.

LinkedIn

Although many think of LinkedIn as a place to connect for future employment, LinkedIn is one of the best tools for entrepreneurs to establish themselves as experts in their field. Sharing news and posts about their industry helps entrepreneurs address their credibility by knowing individuals, events, and activities happening in their field.

The platform also serves as a place to build your connections and network with peers in your industry. While this isn’t necessarily the platform to promote your products, use this app to grow your network and share news about your industry.

Connect with fellow entrepreneurs, Texas State alumni, and professors. Also make connections and follow other business owners and entrepreneurs you look up too.

Having connections and a network with people in your line of work will give you the opportunity to further learn and grow from them. You can gain so much advice and knowledge from people who have experienced similar successes and challenges.

Make posts that demonstrate your achievements in the industry, what you have learned, or activities you participated in.

Facebook

To this day Facebook remains the most used social media platform. While it may not be the most popular for younger audiences, don’t overlook Facebook.

Facebook is a great platform to further promote information about your business. On Facebook you can set up a business page where you can post any upcoming events, product releases, etc.

With the ability to join groups, you can use this feature to gear your business promotion to certain audiences. Join community groups in San Marcos or areas you run your business. You can also join groups for student businesses and entrepreneurs to further grow your network and see what other entrepreneurs like yourself are doing for their ventures.

TikTok

TikTok is an amazing platform to utilize for fast engagement. Videos on TikTok can be spread to thousands of people within minutes.

Utilize this platform to showcase products, while also having behind-the-scenes moments. Your videos don’t have to be done with professional equipment to get the job done. A simple video with your phone camera that is edited nicely can go a long way.

If you post videos on Instagram, you can also use these videos to post on TikTok to double the engagement.

Social media is such a strong and valuable platform to use to further your entrepreneurial growth. Promote your products and services, showcase your successes, and build a network. Social media is just one of the pillars to help you grow your business to the next level.
