Kaylah S's testimony on the Music Program: Kaylah is a senior health sciences major with the career goal to bring international artists to San Antonio. She said "I came in with an idea and a dream, and through this program, no one treated it as worthless. Instead, people believed in me and walked me through the process of understanding what it might take to bring it to life." Kaylah applied for an internship with Austin's Moody Center. FTS requested her application be flagged for review.
Rusti W's testimony on the Music Program: Rusti is a graduate sound recording & technology major with the career goal of live events and production. Rusti said "I feel like I'm walking away from this with more knowledge, more confidence. The program has renewed my sense of purpose.. There are things I've never considered as a career that now, going through this class, I've learned actually exist. It broadened my horizons." Rusti applied for a full-time positin with SXSW through a referral from FTS. We requested her application be flagged for review.
Owen A. testimony on the Music Program: Owen is a communication design junior who has the career goal of creative direction in music. Owen said "I just thought [working in the music industry] was so out there and something I shouldn't even consider.. But now I feel like I can actually do this, which is crazy..  Thank you ao much to the admins. I wouldn't have been able to take the program without the tuition support." Owen applied for a graphic design internship at Classick Studios, a renowned recording studio in Chicago, through a referral from FTS. FTS requested her application be flagged for review. FTS introducing Own to Figure It Out Agency, an Austin-based brand partnerships company.
Erik R. Testimony on the Music Business Program: He is a junior management major with the career goal of artist management. He said "Whether you're going blind or already know the industry, this program gives you clarity, resources, connections and events that can accelerate your career, as long as you take advantage of them. They lay the groundwork out for you." Erik attended the July networking event with the artists he manages, engaging with representatives from BMI, SXSW and other prominent industry organizations.
